vesak day long weekend, instead of "bao-ing the fuo2 jiao3", i'm juz having too much fun..
friday: aft sch, many pple went to support the bball match, supposedly very exciting.. but i not in the mood, anyway i tink i lack the hwa chong spirit also, so i decided to head home n enjoy my jing zhi yu nie, which i'm taking too long to finish.. aft watching a few episodes, changed n went to meet jinx in orchard.. we had dinner at a ulu "shop" in far east, while pondering over wad to get for sk for his performance.. we decided on sth related to sun yanzi n went in search for it..
in the end, we found stickers! and decided tt he mite like it so we bought him sun yanzi stickers.. :p (which i juz found out he alr has quite alot..) anw, the theater was quite out of my imagination, i wish some ou xiang is holding a concert there, i could run down n shake his hand.. quite near, haha.. n the whole of first n last row must be laughing at sk whenever he speaks or does an action.. quite hilarious but i tink he's quite determined not to let his "zao xing" tt day be revealed to anyone other than the audience tt day, everytime we talk abt it, he gives tt "diao" face, so scary.. :p
toured rgs w jinx, jessie, huiru n ah fai aft the performance, i tink rg is quite scary at nite.. but i stil think nanyang is the worst, the science block at nite is totally dark n got singing voice somemore.. :p anw the five of us started doing stoopid things at the amphi, singing n running abt, jinx, jessie n huiru started their own mini concert.. we all went to cine aft tt for a drink.. n btw i tasted the worst ice lemon tea in my life, it was supposed to be seasons de, but tasted like detergent was added in it (according to ah fai)..
saturday: slacked most of the day, was continuing jing zhi yu nie n surfing the net.. in the evening, abt 8pm, went to guang1 ming2 si4 with my mum, bro n my cousins.. it was so crowded, n we were dragging a three year old kid n pushing a "baby car" along.. i tink vesak day is so fun, when i was young, used to follow my mum to the "san bu yi bai" ceremony, which literally means we have to walk round the whole temple, kneeling down once for every 3 steps that we take.. quite xin ku, n i tink i dun have the determination to do it now, my mum stil faithfully does it now.. but we.. haha, lazy bahx.. anw, left the temple at ard 11pm, n boarded a super crowded bus.. my uncle cant find a place to put his "baby car", i tink many pple quite bu shuang bahx.. haha~ but mei ban fa wad.. :p
sunday: shiyin's band concert today.. i finished jin zhi yu nie early in the morning, quite unhappy w the ending, everyone also die.. was planning to stay at home to mug until evening, but alice msged me to ask whether we wanted to go out n shop, can shun bian mug spa together.. so we all went out, but i din bring my notes! grr.. so in the i ended up doing maths DRV.. outside the orchard lib~ coz the lib not open today, it's vesak day.. all the cafes wadever was packed.. boo.. but anw i managed to do some DRV qns, not very good at studying outdoors w distractions everywhere..
i managed to convince everyone to stop work..(i really cant do work, anw alice n sk was engaged in a serious discussion abt chem which i din really understand n they looked like they were going mad.. so better stop them, right? right?!) yup, so we all went out of taka, got some food n headed to heerens.. tink tt orchard puts me off today, guess it's coz of the crowd n the fact tt i was juz there on fri.. so we gave up window shopping (anw sk was not really interested in wad we were looking at) n went for dinner, subway.. this is like the second time i'm ordering subway for myself, still quite blur, the last few times i ordered w jia, n she was quite pro.. anw i tink tt mine was quite nice, but sk was not happy w his.. said tt he prob wun go back there again, n alice tinks it's ok..
alice went off to shop on her own, n i was going to meet liyi at cityhall.. was gng to the mrt station w sk when he saw someone (not sure whether i can mention his name, but better not..) n quickly called alice, but i tink she din manage to see him in the end also.. oh btw, we saw ronald susilo n li jiawei also.. ya, sk saw them, i only mananged to see backview but susilo looks quite shuai~ anw was quite early when i reached cityhall, onli 6.35 lidat.. asked sk to wait with me, but he only pei wo awhile n left.. boo, i was too early, meeting liyi at 6.45.. so i walked ard citylink mall, in the end, liyi onli reached at like 6.53pm (according to her fone n 6.58 according to mine), n jane was alr waiting at esplanade.. :p
the ajc concert, raphsody II (with symphonic band n co) was better than wad i expected, i mean i've watched many band performances, so far, i tink the best i've heard.. none of the jcs, shld be acs bahx, best concert i've seen, n their syf piece, the ghost train was great.. ajc's band performance was nt bad, their pieces were quite similar to hc band concert, like pirates of the carribean.. which i tink ajc did a better job, there was more emotions to tt piece.. oh, n omens of love, haven heard tt in a long time, reminds me of my band days.. my fave piece i've played was pops in the spots.. great song :)
wad amazed me was the ajc co actually.. i was telling liyi i dun listen to co music n i was gng to sleep but the co performance kept me awake for the entire thing.. i tink it's the best co i've heard, haha.. coz i only watched this n nyjc's co.. haha.. anw, i tink they are really good, even liyi thinks so too.. their dynamics n tone was good, n not only tt, the most impt thing is tt they were enjoying their performance, n the mood was really great.. can see that they are confident n playing as a co together.. yup, but i muz say, some of the pieces are long n draggy.. but their sound is really powerful, n to me, it was a really great performance.. worth my $20.. haha..
oh ya, i forgot to mention, we were sitting in the box seats, n we got our own vip entrance to the seats, so exciting.. haha.. first time sitting in box seats, feels so great, like those victorian era de rich pple, who always had their own box when they went to watch operas (haha, can ask jinx) n it feels different, watching from the box seats :)
yup, tt abt ends my exciting weekend, shall get down to chem tut n spa mugging tmr :)
