oh man, x'mas this year is quite disastrous...
firstly, jia n ling are working, so meeting became a problem cos ling finishes work at 9pm.. we cant hav dinner together, n lynn as usual is having dinner w her childhood frens... n so me, aj, jia n her bf kenjon *is tt how his name is spelled?* hav dinner together at jade crystal express, i love their potato wedges! n the pple there take orders in cantonese.. haha..
after we had our dinner, we set off for city hall to meet ling n her bf garvin, we decided to catch the midnight show of wallace n gromit at suntec, $9.50!!! xin tong man, damn ex... clara arrived n she had her dinner at Carl's Jr, which was damn ex as well, a set meal costs $10++, even though the burger was big lar, but it was jus too ex... i tink i would not eat it unless i hav lots of spare cash, which is unlikely cos i would prefer to spend it on something else...
after clara finished her dinner, we waited for lynn to arrive so tt we can xchange our presents! n the disastrous part sets in again, cos jia n clara haven completed their presents yet *all thnks to the DIY theme this year* n ling forgot to bring hers, left it in the hotel room she booked... n so in all, we have ta-da! 3 presents!!!
haha, lynn made this VERY pretty eeyore jewel box for ling, aj gave jia this handicraft thingy, for decorative purposes i suppose.. at first i thot my present was quite nice, but upon seeing wad the others hav done, my present seems abit simple, i made a pair earrings for clara, n got her a sally keychain, which i tink is very cute! haha, cos clara likes nightmare b4 x'mas too.. :) ling gave me my present later in the nite, it was a handmade pouch! so tedious lar, tt's y i tink earrings was abit simple :p the pouch is black in colour n has this very china looking pattern on it, haiz.. how well pple understands me, i'm now officially an 18 year old ah-ma...
we all crammed into the small hotel room tt ling n garvin booked while waiting for the movie which was at 1.20am.. watched tv *namely lao fu zi n harry potter which i accidently stumbled upon* n played bluff! i won! hahaha... which was y i was free to meddle with the tv, ling n clara finished the game as well, with garvin left w the most number of cards in the end :)
looking for the entrance to suntec at 1am is something very tiring, all the entrances are closed n we have no idea where to enter to get to the cinema... anw, wallace n gromit is quite good, i love all this clay cartoons *claymation according to clara* gromit is soooooooo cute! i din realise tt he cant speak until the middle of the movie when he started pointing around, haha... very funny movie, thou if i can choose, i would save tt $9.50, haha... at the end of the movie, i realised tt there were empty couch seat behind us, n the theater is practically empty lar.. shld hav sneaked up to sit.. :p
jia n her bf left after the movie cos she's got to work the nex day *she's selling cars! damn good pay* aj, clara n me stayed in the hotel, deciding when we should leave, coz we dun wan to spend money taking taxi at 3am in the morning, so we played cards w garvin to pass time, played asshole dai dee, n time really passed very quickly.. i tink we got to talk more to garvin this year, even thou he joined us for a few x'mases alr, tink he's quite a funny guy, entertaining us even thou we so bu zi dong, staying in their room, which they spent $124 booking... haha.. felt quite bad, we finally left at ard 5am in the morning, tinking we could walk to the mrt station n catch the first train, budden we realise tt it was raining!
so we were stranded at the hotel entrance, it was freezing cold n i had no jacket.. wad a terrible nite man.. i couldn't stand it n so i went on an adventurous search for a 7-11 in the isolated alley at 5.30am... found it n bought tom yam cup noodles! it's so shuang coz beside the hotel where we were sitting waiting for the rain to stop, there is this steamboat shop, n i was like staring at the steamboat, wishing i was eating instead of being stranded outside the hotel.. tom yum rox...
oh n speaking of the steamboat shop, there was this group of pple there, who was toking super loudly, n they sound like they're from china.. n they were playing some finger guessing game, so loudly tt being the gossipy me, i cant help but notice them.. there was this woman in red shirt who was particularly loud n chor lor.. when they were about to leave, she started 拉拉扯扯-ing with a man who was with her, n i was like so kaypoh i kept staring at them.. aj was like, dun stare at them... from wad i saw, the woman wanted to leave after finishing the steamboat, saying tt she were tired, but the man refused to let her go.. in the end the two of them got onto a taxi n the other "couple" got into another taxi n drove away.. before tt, i heard the woman saying something like 放手! clara commented tt they were like 陪读妈妈s *no offence* but i seriously duno this whole thing abt 陪读妈妈s... they look more like hostesses to me.. i tell u, interesting stuff happens in deserted places early in the morning, haha, so exciting...
so, after much torture sitting there, 被风吹雨打, it's finally 6am n we waited for the first bus to arrive to fetch us to bishan.. aircon in the bus was equally as cold as wind outside the bus, i almost froze to death... when we reached bishan, the rain got heavier, n i realised tt this was the first time it rained on x'mas morning.. poor us, water was dripping into the bus and on onto us lar...
shall blog abt xmas day tmr, i wan to slp now..
