yeah!
the 399th post of my blog ^^
haha, ok i m here to finish up my taiwan trip post
i tink i m going to forget everything soon =p
and i cant blog abt other things too cos wld be very confusing~
okok!
i realise i forgot to throw in some fotos of the first nite!
when i alr uploaded them..
cos too many fotos le!!!
very confusing lor, i'm getting headache jus tinking abt it
hahaa..
so on the first nite before we went to sleep
we took some pics in the room ^^
ok yeah! i m finally at day two..
hahaha.. i said i wanted to wake up the earliest
cos i cant sleep well in hotels anyway
but in the end i din even hear xinwei's alarm go off!
hahaha, i woke up the last~
we got dressed and off we go in search of breakfast ^^
actually i realise usually i m the not the one ordering food
so i only have the impression of eating
but i dun really remember wad we ate
HAHA, anyway i tink we had 蛋饼 that morning
and something else also, really cannot remember, lol..
actually wad was i doing when ur r buying food huh~
i can oni remember u guys using the fone
but wad was i doing? hahahaha..
mayb distracted by the surroundings =p
anyway, we went to take the 捷运 towards 北投 aft tt
where all the 温泉s were supposed to be
we alighted at the 北投 station without knowing where we want to go
so we took a look at the map at the station
and realise 温泉s are nearer to 新北投 station
so we decided to follow the 捷运 track towards tt station
i remembered we bought a cup of tea on the way!
haaha.. but it wasn't the nicest tea i drank b4..
and after walking for very very long, we decided to pose for pictures ^^
cos the road looked very nice
with the fence and railway tracks
it looks like a scene in the miso soup pv! lol~
and i begin to discover tt lilin n xinwei has 1001 poses for pics
hahaha..
soon we came to a dead end , haha..
we realised we were walking in the wrong direction
and lost too~
haha, so we flagged for the yellow car again =p
after we boarded the cab, we asked the uncle
if he knew any good 温泉s to be recommended
in the end he drove a long long way before we reach the 温泉 zone
haha, which was high up on the hill~
we could nv have reached there by foot..
the cab uncle was also very nice to sell us some vouchers
and let us verify them first b4 he left~
in the end we went to this place called 椰林 which has private rooms
and onli cost NT50 person for 40 minutes!!!
爽爽爽！
haha, i tink i m nt allowed to disclose fotos of us rite
anyway i look so fat in swimsuit no one shall see it, HAHHA~
lol, so everyone shall oni see the pool lar ok~
wah the 温泉 is so damn shuang~
the first time i've been to a 温泉
i always thot it's clean water, 原来 it's sulphur water..
the smell was unbearable at first but got used to it aft awhile
after we came out of the 温泉
everyone feeling very refreshed!
and ready for one more day of shopping =]
sat down for some green tea and cake~
the environment is really very nice and there is the taitai factor!
hahaa, high tea on the mountains after 温泉
wahhhhhh~
took the bus down the mountain after that
and proceeded to our next destination for the day, 淡水!
after alighting at the 淡水 station, we have no idea where to walk again
but thnx to the friendly visitor service center at almost all the stations
we found our way to the 淡水码头
but before that, we saw dunkin' donuts!!!
i heard from alice that dunkin' donuts is very nice
so without much thot, we jus headed towards it
instead of mister donuts which was jus opposite~
seriously i find the dunkin' donuts logo more attractive than mr donut
anyway, we bought 6 donuts and sat down to feast!
it wasn't tt nice actually, hahaha..
i like the lemon custard one, but nt all the others
especially the ring shaped one made up of alot of circles
taste like bread which has turned very hard.. =p
but i had impression that tegoshi n shige (forgot who n who, haha)
anyway, two of them went to this donut factory
and learned to make this kind of donut!
so i must pose with a picture of it ^^
xinwei n lilin displayed their creativeness at foto taking again, lol~
i kept having this impression tt mister donut is a taiwan local brand
even aft lilin told me it's nicer than dunkin' donuts
and stephanie told me tt there's always long queues
i stil din manage to try it in the end...
hahaa, actually i dun like fanciful donuts also
i prefer plain old donut with sugar =]
and when i met bishan the other day, she said mister donut sounds familiar
like the one that tegoshi went to on yayayah~
haha, i was so shocked lar!~
so i came home n checked my phamplets, 原来 it's a japanese brand..
hahaha, aiyo so gek sim can..
anyway, we went on to explore 淡水
bought 芒果冻 for myself and 铁蛋 for my brother
but nt alot cos i was told nt to buy food back
omg, the 猪血糕 that i bought was disgusting... EWWW~
my brother said he warned me alr, hahaa, i dun remember!!!
i thot it was made of 猪血 n happily bought it..
but it turned out to be some rice cake which is salty beyond description
i threw it away after one bite, hahaha..
after shopping ard for quite long, we decided to leave
but nt before trying the famous tall ice cream!
but the ice cream is not so tall after all
cos we ordered the small one..
and it's not nice to eat also, like flavoured ice lidat..
abit worse than mac's ice cream, haha..
we wanted to take neoprints but they are the same as singapore's
so we decided nt to try =p
went back to the hotel to put down our things
before going to the nex location~
our nex destination is the 东区 which has large shopping areas circled out
we shopped awhile at the 东区地下街
omg, alot of cheap cheap shoes!!
and surprisingly we found shoes our size! hahaha..
i bought a pair of shoes which i like alot alot~
but when we went back to the hotel tt nite
i realise the two feet are of different sizes =(
and it's the last pair alr so i exchanged it for another pair =p
we decided to fill our stomaches first =]
we spotted ding tai feng and decided to try it
even though it looks as high class as singapore, lol..
ate xiao long bao and later we bought this 小吃 called 葱抓饼
and also 花枝羹 with 冬粉(花枝rite?) haha, sort of like sotong soup..
walked around awhile and realised tt there's nth much to shop there
so we decided to proceed to 西门町 again cos i nd to exchange clothes
before leaving, we came across 玫瑰唱片
and i decided to go n have a look~
luckily i did! cos i found NewS poster here!!!
actually thnx to xinwei who spotted it for me.. ^^
but tinking back now, luckily i did, i really love it =]
and we took alot of fotos with giant posters here n there ^^
that's me with matsuyama kenichi (aka L) and vanness!
both whose heads are being cut off, hahaha..
but onli in this collage, dun worry~
and xinwei n lilin with 小猪 ^^
after reaching 西门町 for a short while
the shops start to close also cos it was quite late alr~
so we headed towards 华西街夜市
which we heard some pple recommend the nite before..
WAH! it was another place filled with cheap stuff, haha..
bought lots of clothes and food before leaving for our hotel
the 紫玉米 that i bought was nt nice..
taste like corn tt has become rubber alr~
and xinwei finished all the 蚵仔煎 she wanted to share with me!
haha.. it's ok, still got chance to try~
omg~ that's oni end of day 2?
haha, how did we manage to do so much things in one day ^^
i feel tired jus typing lo..
i tink have to divide into another part alr, hahaha..
i feel like sleeping alr~
we woke up slightly later today =]
the destination today is 中正纪念堂！
nth really special abt the place, and nobody asked y i wanted to go so much..
hahaha, its quite stupid cos energy held their 829 concert there~
so i have been wanting to visit there since duno when..
but to my horror! its under renovation lor!!
there's this big cloth covering the front of the building
but they very considerate to place the picture of the building in front
haha, for pple to take fotos?
haha, dun wan! not nice..
we ventured into the place and saw more buildings behind!
it was so hot and bright tt we cannot see wad was on the cam screen
this uncle whom we approached to help us take foto
kept figuring how to take cos he thot the fotos would turn out too bright
i suggested climbing the long flight of stairs to see wad's on top
but of cos i was joking also lar, hahaha..
my legs are breaking by this time alr, lol..
anyway these few days there's news tt the building is closed
due to some political issues rite? haha or was i dreaming?
it was really too hot so we left after awhile
and walked out to look for this shopping area called 永康街市场
after referring to the map 101 times and spotting a 7-11
we finally saw some streets which resembles the place
and den we saw this shop called 冰馆
OMG OMG! it's like water in the desert..
hahahaa.. mango ice! with strawberries and kiwi fruit
but i can onli see the mango part, lol..
wah wah wah~ super nice lor!
i realise 许留山 is nt tt amazing also lar
jus tt it sells EVERYTHING with mango, tt's y i love it so much
cos this 冰馆's mango ice is jus as nice!!!
i tink the most impt thing is the mango rite
as long as the mango is sweet n nice, not much skills needed
singapore's mango nt so nice and fresh bah ^^
and before we left, a large group of japanese tourists came along too
we decided tt this 冰馆 mus be quite famous =]
we hopped on to a cab and headed towards the nex place
台北101!!!
cab because it's inaccessible by 捷运 ok! haha..
there's nth much inside also..
we roamed abt for awhile, wanted to go up to the 89th flr to see see
but it costs NT350!!! so expensive lor..
like paying to go up to the restuarant where i work, haha..
70th and 89th abt the same la rite, lol~
so in the end, we shopped ard and left the building
across the road is New York New York!
haha, if i remembered correctly..
cos got the statue of liberty outside the building..
anyway, xinwei was telling me abt the various shows tt was filmed there
i got zero impression even though i watched each show Nth times
hahaha.. i got vague impression of the red poles from 恶魔在身边
and also the hua ze lei and shan cai date scene from 流星花园
we went down to the food court for lunch~
ordered this plate of food with beef and sotong
cos i haven ate beef since coming to taiwan! hahaha..
omg, looks super appetizing lor ^^
lilin bought crepes and pizza, i was so full from everything
hohoho, saw matsu jun's poster and had to take foto!
and of cos with the famous red poles too ^^
we walked to 成品信义旗舰店 which is the bookshop, haha
it's on the map so we figured it's a bigger branch?
it's a whole building again, with like 3-4 levels of the bookstore
the comics section made me go crazy..
haha, i saw the kurosagi comics lo!!!!
but i cant bear to spend my money on it
cos it's still hanging at book 12 and it's $6 per book!
i will go broke if i really bought tt~ hahaa..
so in the end, i have to give it up =(
after leaving the bookshop, we took the 捷运 to exchange my shoes
and den back to the hotel to rest our feet ^^
the plan for the night is to go to 士林夜市！
but we stopped by 西门町 again for some shopping
took 捷运 to the 士林 station..
but we alr passed by the 夜市 on the way..
so we asked around and was told tt we shld alight one stop before
so pple, 士林夜市 is at the stop called 剑谭, not 士林..
haha, but the high feeling starts to come when we saw the place!!!
firstly, of cos chiong the food first =]
bought one famous 超大鸡排 and a bubble milk tea
WAH~ the combination is heavenly~
hahaa, the three of us cant finish the 鸡排 lor!
but tt's bcos we were eating lots of other things ^^
the 棺材板 and red bean thing, haha.. duno the name~
the famous 蚵仔煎 from the xiao zhu stall
i bought 大肠包小肠, at first i thot the white thing was a type of sausage
until lilin told me it's made of rice, hahaha~
i feel so stupid~ anyway the 大肠包小肠 wasn't very nice
mayb cos the sausage was 高粱 flavour
and had a weird taste =p
okay! on to the shopping~
shilin has alot of things to shop!
even more than 西门町 lor..
but mus know how to bargain cos they anyhow quote prices de
xinwei n lilin are better at tt..
haaha, i tend to accept wadever price is given to me, lol~
anyway after combing the place, we bought quite alot of things
shopped until all the shops were closed again, hahaha
we decided to come again tmr ^^
returned to hotel and conducted our routine procedure
haha, settling the bills for the day!
everyone's wallets are emptying out alr
and we still have 2 more days to go =]
ok tt's the end of part 2..
haha, really have to drag on to part 3 cos it's 4am now!
