well, i can't think of any lines to start with other than "i'm back!"
i'm blogging so little that there will be nothing to read in my archives next time
i really need to catch up on the past 2 weeks
so that i can blog about the happening things this past 2 DAYS! =D
yup, as i was saying.. vday!
remembered last year's vday, me jasmine and xw the singles
went to eat at billy bombers at JP and got tok-ed like all the boyfriends
and also the super touching fishballs from mr neo! =)
well, still no progress for me this year
i had ajisen ramen with my lovely housemates, caihong and shiyun
we had a feast! nothing like the bloody expensive billy bombers last year
had ramen with chicken karaage and yummy ice cream~
and also the previous day, we being the nice and friendly housemates
we went shopping for vday presents for the guys
in the end, random-roomie-with-a-lot-of-weird-ideas
suggested that we buy an orange, vegetable and a table cloth
to represent 小陈，小蔡 and 小卓...
xiao chen appeared at home with roses for us after his haircut
not bad not bad!
also received a rose from caihong and roomie =)
and not forgetting chocolates from jieru~
what a noisy vday with so many people around =)
and most importantly, i received a parcel from baibai on vday!!!
not vday present but my birthday present that reached too early
hahaha.. they actually sent me evaporated milk all the way from singapore
very precious evaporated milk wor!!
after postage it's about 15 times the its original price (><)
and as usual, every year my present would be something nicely drawn
because how can liyi waste her artistic talents =)
but surprisingly this year, i heard it was shiyin and jane who did the drawings!!
they are pretty, thanks alot prettys ^^
it's now safely tucked away in my cupboard, haha..
on friday, me caihong and roomie went in search of ikea beijing!
have been wanting to go ever since we reached but it was too out of the way
and i got cheated by the stupid bus map webby
first it told me that this bus stop has a 752 bus to ikea
when i reached the bus stop (after going to 2 wrong ones)
i realise there is no such bus...
so in the end i took a bus which i know goes somewhere nearby
and changed to another bus that goes to the stop that i originally wants to go
in the end, ikea is nowhere near that bus stop!!!
stupid website.. they are usually very accurate
i don't know what happened.. i even checked twice for this info =/
so i had to take a cab to ikea in the end
had meatballs for dinner =)
cos it's so hard it's getting on my nerves!!
in the end, they were too expensive so we gave up the idea..
i bought some cards for baibai!!!
i know you guys don't read my blog so you won't know i am sending you cards!
HAHAHA..
went shopping with housemates girls on saturday!
i should give them a name, let's say SCJ or chaoyang girls, haha..
before we went out, we did something silly
if you don't know who took whose coat to wear
because looking at the coat, bag and cap, we have become so iconic
it is actually shiyun, caihong and jieru from left to right..
not caihong, jieru and shiyun =p
anyway, we went to our favourite place which is xi dan =)
it's beijing's orchard road multiply a few times with lots to shop!!
everytime i visit xi dan i will come back feeling damn poor..
and after that we came to 王府井 sizzler for dinner
i have to say i knew from the moment that jasmine told me we're going sizzler
that something is going on, hahaa..
i tink it's called the birthday-reaching-soon radar =)
furthermore, the girls were acting very weirdly in the morning
cos roomie and jieru were wearing yellow
and caihong attempted to borrow roomie's spongebob shirt, haha..
and so when i walked into the restaurant and saw a bunch of YELLOW balloons
the feeling was half expected and yet half surprised..
even though many of you know that i love balloons, i wasn't expecting it =p
food was quite good, i love the potato and egg salad there!
six-days-a-week had to make me do paiseh things here in bj..
so according to miss er, they bought 2 extra balloons
and i was supposed to give them to random 2 persons in the restaurant
no female and no kids -.-
and get them to sing a birthday song for me..
in the end, jasmine was the one doing all the talking and paiseh-ing
cos i simply cant bring myself to do it..
so PAISEH!
and so one balloon goes to a waiter, and the other to a cute baby =)
please let me have mango cakes for all my future birthdays too, lol..
and then i took photos with everyone present, one by one
i thought my mouth was going to go stiff after everything, haha..
when i received the present from BBS that night!!
jasmine put the box on the table and shove to me like it was nothing
HAHAHAHA..
then when i saw the plastic bag, i thought it was a cd
NEWS cd? hahaha, impossible, you know i have all of them =D
and when i took it out, i still didn't realise what it was!
until maybe 3 seconds later when i flipped the box over
and saw that it's the samsung T10!!!!
OMG!!!
allow me to say that this is the first birthday present
that ever made me feel surprised and damn happy..
because it is something i really really want =)
i went to audio house at clarke quay countless times last year
everytime just browsing and then leaving
cos i cant bring myself to buy it each time
thanks BBS, i love it so much and i know it cost a bomb
so please please retain that email that i sent all of you
and you shall get a treat from me when i come back..

especially the yellow nail polish on xiao cai and xiao chen =)
taking the bus!
i was so paiseh holding the balloons and blocking everyone's view =p
and so worried that someone will scream at me, haha..
so the next time i tell someone i love balloons
i must remember to add that it must come with a taxi ride attached =)
actually it is a place with 8 temples all together in one place
was super reluctant to get up
but i was reminded by my mum that i need to go 拜太岁 this year
so bo bian, have to go..
took the train to a station very faraway called 苹果园
and have to take another bus from there
and began climbing and climbing...
the 8 temples are at different places on the mountain
and there is a route that for visitors to trek on to get to the 8 different places
there is a route for strolling and one for trekking
they chose the trekking route and almost killed me on the way
so freaking steep and neverending!!
ok lar, i am the unhealthy person, that's why..
never exercise and keep eating =p
and so you can see the buay-ta-han-ness in my eyes as i climb..
and looks deceivingly like the top of the mountain
stopped to take some photos and marvel at our achievement =)
hoho.. before continuing up the mountain..
it's just endless stairs and pavements man..
on our way up, some guys approached us
and asked if we wanna go horse riding..
they quoted us the price of RMB10 to see 4 sceneries
after making sure and making sure it was RMB10
some of us decided to go try it out..
the first time i am riding a horse sia, the height scares me like crazy
luckily there was someone holding and guiding the horse
it makes me feel more secure
anyway, mine was a really small horse
i keep worrying that it cannot take my weight
and i keep confirming with the guy that it can take up to 100kg of weight
HAHAHA..
but i can totally feel that the horse is super tired carrying me, lol..
we only go to one place and is able to see 4 sceneries
if we want to go further, we have to pay RMB40..
but we proceeded just for the fun of it, hoho..
after we came back from horse riding, we continued climbing
reached the top and came down, hahaha..
we missed out some temples because of our route
and in the end did not manage to 拜太岁 cos it was all 观音庙 there..
but i was feeling sad and emo the whole day..
no birthday mood at all~
had singapore food again with SCJ, hahaha..
as usual, milk tea always has the ability to make me feel better =)
had singapore laksa and thanks girls for the tiramisu cake ^^
still not feeling very happy on tuesday
but went out for lunch with my colleague
and she brought me into a super world of 麻辣香锅！
you have to try it for yourself man..
i simply love it so much, haahha..
even though it is plagued with 花椒 all over the pot
it is still very yummy!!
lilin i think you will love it!! =)
basically you just choose the ingredients that you like
and they will cook everything together with lots of chilli and 花椒
and it is really one BIG pot, you can eat it with rice..
i think optimal people to eat is about 4 bah..
hahaa, cos the two of us were struggling with it towards the end
and it is not cheap too (><) hahaa..
i love how my colleague likes to eat all kinds of things that i like too
thursday was 元宵节 and quite a big thing here in china too..
everyone was buying 汤圆 everywhere we go
and they refer to 汤圆 as 元宵 here, got us all confused at first =p
because the previous packet of 汤圆 was forgotten by us and got rotten..
we bought another 2 packets to eat!
yum, i love 汤圆!
roomie and caihong were playing around with oranges -.-
hahaha..
and there are things for me too!!
of cos as requested by me, hee..
so grateful to her father who brought seasons ice lemon tea from singapore!
it is now in the fridge as i wait for special occasions to drink it
HAHAHA.. how low right..
remember i used to buy it all the time before going to lessons..
and also U-weekly with jay chou!! wahahaha..
i miss reading U-weekly and all the lame gossips
thanks to roomie and your father!!
met so many people there..
beng beng and michelle, though i wasn't very shou with them in the past
but it's so nice seeing them here and chatting about familiar people
like *ah-hem* jinx and alice and sk XD
and also there were lots of people whom i duno
but they find me familiar and yea they were from the same school as me
went to visit beng beng and michelle's room and several others too
and i think our house is definitely so much better =p
but their place seems so nice and cosy and happening =)
hai dian girls came over to our place with their pots and utensils
HAHAHAH, cos we do not have enough to cater for everyone, lol
i love the chicken mushroom by suyun! yummy yummy!
jasmine came up with fried omelette with onion
and xiao cai with potato carrot soup
together with fried nuggets by jieru
and the super CMI veges by me.. (><)
i think if there is a ranking for cooking ability in our house
i should be at the bottom bah..
and all this while i thought helping my mum out has earned me some skills
bleah, no..

went out shopping at xi dan again with hai dian-ers on sunday!
target is a nice jacket for spring! =D
and yea i managed to get a super pretty jacket, heehee!
as i was leaving xi dan, i stopped to bargain for a hairband
and right after i quoted my price
i received a call from dearie liyi, from australia!!
maybe the salesgirl felt like i wanted to leave already
she immediately changed her mind and sold it to me
wahaha.. we can try this more often =D
chatted with liyi on the phone for almost half an hour
and i was standing in the wind for quite some time
until i decided to go hide in the underpass, hahaha..
but it was so happy to receive a call from her
and she's the first person to call me here in beijing =)
reached home and housemates were cooking curry!
everyone's cooking skills is improving except me..
oh wells.. curry was super shiok!

ah fai posted pictures on his facebook that made us all 哭笑不得
hahaha, apparently they wanted to send me something secretly
but ah fai went to post the pictures on facebook
and even went to tag me in the photo when i obviously wasn't there
HAHAA..
but nonetheless, i was super touched when i saw the photos
and the whole week i was waiting for the parcel to arrive ^^
finally it arrived last wednesday!!
hahaha, i took it out and read through everything without even taking off my shoes
we should rename ourselves wu ren bang or something =)
i love all the photos, they bring back so much memories of HC and 61
i had the greatest time in JC with you guys
and i will treasure all those memories, thank youuu =)
and school started on friday last week! ^^
even though i have to wake up like super freaking early
earlier than i have to wake up to go to NTU
i am still happy that i am finally going to study again XD
we have to take the train to 五道口 station to meet up with the rest
as it is the first day of lesson~
i hate how we have to switch between 3 lines
before finally reaching the station
and in between every line, we have to walk quite far
the first one is about the same as when we switch to NEL
but the second one is freaking long
and we have to walk out of the station and into the line 13
whole journey takes about 8 minutes?
and it gets worst when there is alot of people =/
lessons was quite boring but i managed to stay awake for the first lecture
HAHA..
the only parts i was interested in were the ones with gu wen
hahaha! all the history stuff is making me sleepy..
i hope they teach more literature stuff and have more outings!
and throughout the lecture, jasmine and xiaozhuo were making a list
of people who fell asleep, caught 5 times and you have to give a treat
in the end, we were awake because of them constantly checking on us =p
had lunch with some tsing hua students under the arrangement of the school
and they brought us on a tour around the school..
tsing hua has some nice buildlings that resembles those in europe campus
that was because tsing hua was a prepatory school
for students going on overseas studies i think..
hahaha, i realise i jumped off with one leg
while everyone else jumped on their both legs, hmm...
on saturday, we decided to take a bus to school!
and i prefer a bus to the train cos it takes us all the way to the school
no changing between lines and i can zZzzz..
hoho..
and at first glance i thought they had macdonald's in tsing hua..
in the end..
QQ! everything else is the same, really.. -.-"
but quality wise.. it is nowhere near macs..
after which, i went to this vocational school for voluntary work
to fulfil my learn programme requirements
the school operates free for students from low income families
and this usually means they come from the suburb area
they pick up skills here for jobs in the tourism and electrical industries
and on saturdays they have english lessons
which is where we can offer our help =)
the students there are about 15 to 18 years old
and they are very friendly with alot of questions about singapore..
the teacher in my class was very friendly
and she teaches english in a very relaxing and fun way
like showing american idol videos and teaching songs..
will be there for another 6 times or so, hope we can be of help ^^
k-ed with some of the learn programme peeps
and some others from the GIP beijing group
they are such a crazy bunch..
screamed and shouted and sang until 2am
before i took a cab home, reached home at 3am and knocked out =)
yeah!!! i finally caught up with my entries
WAHAHAH!!
look out for more fangirling in my next entry ^^
