and now for a super overdue post again =)
tianjin jay chou concert + fishing trip!
as organised and planned by 103's very own chee wee-san..
the plan was for everyone to set off from school on saturday
but the moment i woke up on saturday
caihong and bangzong were standing at their respective room doors
and they were discussing whether we should skip school that day
hahaha, damn funny..
in the end, all of us went back to sleep
and woke up naturally for our tianjin trip =)
reached the train station at around 1pm
met up with xinyi and the rest of the class people to board the train
it was hard seats again
but the trip from beijing to tianjin is only 1 plus hour so it was not that bad
arrived at tianjin at about 3 plus and went in search of our accomodation place
is a small room with one queen size bed and one sofa
with a tiiiiiiiny kitchen space and a *erps* toilet..
not too bad an apartment, the interior is so much better than what we expected
considering the exterior looks like a slump, haha..
anyway, we were just going to stay for a night >.<
a total of 12 of us took up every inch of the room, hahaa..
and so after putting down our barang barang, we proceeded to the next place
which was jay chou concert for some of us
and shopping, roaming, strolling for the rest of them..
the jay chou group found a korean restaurant not far away
and settled our dinner there..
after dinner, we cabbed down to the 天津奥林匹克体育场
which was super packed with people from like 1km away from the stadium
we bought lightsticks, those battery operated ones for 5RMB each only!
was already 730pm when we reached the stadium
but there were still tons of people outside the stadium
typical chinese people sia, always late for everything..
we realised that we were not supposed to bring lightsticks into the stadium
WTH!
i tried to hide my lightstick in my jacket
but i was too panicky, so i shoved it to alvin
and tried to hide it in his jacket instead
in the end, still kena caught by the security
and thus ended my short relationship with my yellow lightstick >.<
as expected, our seats were damn far away from the stage
hahaha, cheapest tickets mah..
but little did i expect their stadium to be so BIG!
it's like one more level on top on our indoor stadium
so we are one more level further away from the cheapest tix in singapore
can imagine? >.<
sang along, screamed abit, played with chee wee's surviving lightstick
commented about the sound system, realised it was jay being off form
kept comparing this concert to the one we watched on dvd
got high when he sang 夜的第七章
expected 珊瑚海 but it never came
was amazed by jay's shuai-ness =)
and of course how nice his songs were =))
it's the stadium for olympics football i think..
damn nice larh, first time i've been to such a big stadium
with the middle portion being open air but the seats are sheltered~
after the concert, we met up with roomie and co for supper
at this dim sum supper place!
the dim sum was damn shiooook!
lots of choices at RMB6.80 per plate only.. yum~~
after dim sum we cabbed back to our apartment
and the cab driver, seeing that we had lightsticks
asked if we went to see the jay chou's concert, muahaha..
he drove us to go see the hotel which he is staying at..
and the hotel is just down the street from our apartment XD
woke up damn early the next morning cos i couldn't sleep at all
think i am super not used to sleeping in awkward positions
so we went for early breakfast!
had 油条 and a fresh first serving of 豆浆!
packed up and off we go for our fishing trip..
so i wanted to pack an extra jacket
but i have no idea what happened and i removed it from my bag >.<
but luckily the weather was very good that day! 阳光明媚!
we were separated into 2 boats randomly
and off we go!
we were supposed to travel about one hour out to the open sea
and then try to fish for about 2 hours before coming back
fishermen at work..
but there were bones everywhere that it's so hard to eat them..
after a while he took out some more la la
and it was good man XD
and then we collected the harvest of the day
but it was quite miserable cos the pail was filled with mini crabs
and mudskipper-like fishes..
and going into the 3rd hour, i started to feel damn xin ku
must be the freaking hot sun and maybe abit boatsick
and soon i was just stoning in a corner
refused to move about anymore..
had 2 tables of food each costing about 500RMB
eat until i was damn bloated
and meanwhile the guys were being forced to drink beer
by chee wee's driver and some supervisor in his company >.<
all the 酒鬼s in china, tsk tsk..
bought some famous tianjin 麻花 for my relatives
and went to slack in macs, again..
milk tea rox =)
and it was train back to beijing soon..
next up: wuxi-suzhou-hangzhou-shanghai trip!
sorry for the boring post, i have essays and report to do >.<
and halfway through typing this post
my office started to shake and me started going dizzy
and i realised it was an earthquake XD
ran all the way down from my 20th floor office
while all my colleagues stayed rooted in the office, oh man..
no 危机意识 at all..
but nothing serious, all the buildings in beijing are still intact
although i don't really trust it at all
xiao chen says the walls are stuffed with cotton wool o.O
and now i am safely typing this from my ground floor house, muahaha..
yep, reporting safe from beijing =)
