and finally, it's time for the 无锡，苏州，杭州，上海 trip!
or WSHS in short..
i am always almost a month late XD
and so for our loooooong mayday holiday which lasts for 4 days
(actually only 3 days, we self-extended it by ponning, haha..)
we explored 4 different places
was abit rushed but nonetheless it was an enjoyable trip =)
set off from our house on 30th april night..
faked sickness and stayed at home for the day cos i am lazy
but i was really sick on the day before
wanted to recover before the trip, damn sian to fall sick during a trip la!
and so i slacked around, packed my things and waited for the guys to come back
roomie and caihong went off a day earlier for mayday concert in shanghai
mayday as in the band mayday who had their concert on the day before mayday XD
set off for the train station at 630pm
was worried that we will be late for the train
so we checked in the moment we reached the train station
wanted to get kfc inside the station but they have nothing left o.O
so the unlucky foursome have to eat cup noodles for dinner, LOW!
boarded the train and everyone around us were eating kfc and macs
even more LOW!
and so we had to find some comfort in looking at the people on the opposite train
who were taking the slump train
while we were on the comfortable Z train!
shiok! =)
HTHT with chee wee on the train
hmm, keeping quiet doesn't mean i am emo-ing or not listening to you
i am seriously thinking through everything ya =)
couldn't sleep the whole night because my throat is damn painful
and i keep wanting to drink water
terrible train ride even though it is the Z train, grahhhs..
reached 无锡站 the next morning
met up with roomie and caihong who came from shanghai
and also xinyi who will be joining us for the trip =)
macs breakfast is the best XD
called home from wuxi to inform my mum i'm away for a trip, haha
didn't realise the phone bill was so ex cos i am not in beijing >.<
for providing accomodation and transportation for our WSHS trip =)
and roomie is also our tour guide and organiser for this trip *claps*
after putting our things down at roomie's dad's place
we set off to our first destination, 三国城 & 水浒城
it is actually a place they built up to film 三国演义 and 水浒传
watched a performance whereby they act out a scene
from a confusing and mixed-up plot..
ultimately it was to show us how flying and exploding scenes are filmed..
checked out this prison place where alvin was beheaded
and caihong was tortured while the rest of us got locked up o.O
but it turned out to be a scam, it was half price not free
so being 看不开, we decided not to take the ship
and just take pictures in front of it XD
a short coke episode that took place XD
at night, we had lunch with roomie's dad
and listen to him talk about how to operate business in china
how to manage your employee and stuff..
highly enlightening =)
and he treated us to a massage session after that
was super tensed at first cos i'm not used to people massaging my shoulders
but i almost fell asleep towards the end
and i totally lost my voice on the first night of the trip!
damn sian..
the place we went to was called 周庄, a famous tourist attraction in suzhou
drove 2 hours from wuxi to the location
and so we had lunch before going into the place..
similarly a freaking hot day in suzhou
had to constantly keep my shades on XD
those old jiangnan rivers you always see on tv
somehow the real thing doesn't look so pretty to me
because on photos you don't see the massive crowds
that's just on the borders of those pictures
and you don't see all kinds of nonsense being sold there
passing themselves off as authentic suzhou stuff
basically it's just too commercialised for my liking
but can't help it bah, who doesn't like making money =)
more 故居s and musuems and shops
some of the things were quite interesting, like the smallest chess set
the kind of locks people in olden days use, blah blah..
the fierce looking person in the photo is roomie's dad's driver
damn young lar, he's the age as me lo..
but he tried to pass off as 24 years old, tsktsk.. 被发现!
and den we travelled another 2 hours back to wuxi
had dinner at this steak's place near roomie's house
sizzling hot steak..
and a lonely little boy eating by himself caught our attention
seems like roomie ate by herself when she was young too?
or did we invent it ourselves? HAHAHA..
just kidding =p
was a 轰轰烈烈 meal to celebrate our 4th monthsary 
was another long drive to reach our destination, 杭州西湖
think we took about 3 to 4 hours cos we were lost
had a simple lunch near 西湖 and went to explore the place
wanted to go into the 雷锋塔
but heard that there was nothing much so we gave up the plan
and rented bicycles to go travel round the lake
1RMB for the second hour, 2RMB for the third
and 3 RMB for every hour after that!!
and the bikes were new cos this service just started 2 days ago
it was some government scheme i think, thus the cheap price..
i totally regretted not bringing my shorts from singapore
the weather is freaking hot nowadays la..
wearing jeans is like a torture sia..
so we sat by the lake and dip our dirty legs into 西湖
muahaha.. it was damn cooling sia
103 peeps rox =)
we did nothing much in hangzhou
basically we just cycled one round around 西湖
and then spent another 3 hours going back home
お疲れ様でした to the driver, it was a long and tiring drive..
had milk tea and some dim sum for supper
the hongkong restaurant was abit cock up
and didn't even know their area well enough to do delivery
we had to go down personally to collect the food in the end >.<
had an early night as we are going to shanghai the following day! 
rushed out to take cab to the train station
thanks to chee wee who stood in the rain and hailed our cab for us =)
successfully reached the train station on time
and waited for the rest to arrive
a short one hour train to shanghai..
which is where the shanghai raffles city mall is
went in search of my old chang kee but no, there wasn't any..
but found out happy lemon has nice pudding milk tea =)
and took a photo with massu at the shanghai russ k shop! 
actually i have no idea what's the place called
should be 外滩 bah, hahaha..
everyone was walking with umbrellas except alvin
who kept boasting about his columbia raincoat o.O
and our cheap 10RMB umbrellas make pretty photos!
hahaha..
saw 许留山 across the river!!
but i couldn't cross over the bridge so cannot eat!!
oh man, it's okay, hongkong here i come soon!
i am going to eat alot of 许留山 XD
which is this whole shopping area with lots of touristy shops
豫园 was a garden in that place i think
which we didn't go
only slacked around at starbucks and ate shanghai xiaolongbaos =)
i love shanghai buildings larh
those banks and shops along 外滩 are all olden shanghai kind of buildings
which i think is damn pretty and very well preserved
in fact, i think shanghai is the prettiest place out of the 4 places we been to
continued walking down to the mrt station
and prepared to go back to the train station
mister donut!! muahaha, not that i love donuts alot
i just regreted not eating it when i was in taiwan
so damn happy when i knew there are outlets in shanghai, muahaha!
again the ride home was super uncomfortable cos i kept coughing
and waking up in the middle of the night =/
and the freaking train don't have cold water
ran out of water to drink and walked the whole train looking for water
thanks to roomie who thought of putting the boiling water in the BK cup
cos i was too tired to think about anything
reached home around 730am and got ready to go for work
super LOW!
hahaa, and roomie took leave to help us wash our clothes at home
thank you roomie!
so much laundry that they have to be hung in our respective rooms
and that's all for our WSHS trip!
GIP is coming to an end already, in the blink of an eye
i hope i can do more things with the remaining 2 weeks in beijing
the earthquake sort of messed up our travelling plans to sichuan
so now i have no idea where i am going for my post GIP trip
but will definitely be reaching singapore on 27th june night
be seeing everyone soon!
